Germline BRCA1 and BRCA2

Around  5-7% of breast cancer is considered "hereditary"  due to the presence of germline mutations that confer a significant risk of developing breast cancer. Currently identified two major genes responsible for this susceptibility are BRCA1 and BRCA2.

Knowing the risk of developing a breast cancer one can make the best decision in terms of surveillance or pursue a course of preventive care.

The test is performed on NGS platform in 7 working days starting from a blood sample (2 EDTA tubes).
